The Museum of Troy History will begin opening on weekends from 1pm to 5pm beginning April 4, 2025!!!!

Step back in time by visiting the Museum of Troy History, located at 125 E. Water Street in Troy, Ohio.  The museum is located in a brick home that was built by John Kitchen in 1847 The home now serves as a museum that shows how residents of Troy lived from 1850 to the present.  Most of the rooms are decorated with furnishings that depict everyday life before indoor plumbing, electric appliances, and conveniences like telephones. The parlor, foyer, and bedroom feel like Victorian age (1860-1900), while the kitchen is modern for 1925.  A second-floor room depicts a school room from 1850-1950, with inkwells and slate backboards.  There are also displays of businesses from Troys past.  A collection of Troy High School yearbooks allows visitors to search for students from 1918 to 2018.
